YouTube Scriptwriter

Remote (US)Start ASAPContract-to-Hire, Full-Time

You got into YouTube scriptwriting for the craft. The hook that makes someone stay. The story that makes a 12-minute video feel like three. But your best work keeps sitting unused in a doc, or running on a channel nobody watches.

This seat is the opposite. Real reach. An audience that already shows up. A founder who trusts you to own the script. You take an idea to a ready-to-shoot script, and it gets made. You’re the writer whose scripts make the channel.

Does this sound like you? Then keep reading.

Mark Moss Media is on a mission to inspire financial freedom through disruptive ideas in finance, Bitcoin, and personal sovereignty. Our content reaches millions each month across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and beyond.

Content is the engine of this entire business, and the channel runs on a steady slate of great scripts. Right now ideas stall before they’re ready to shoot, and the cadence suffers for it. I need a writer who takes an idea all the way to a ready-to-shoot script, so filming is all that’s left to do.

If you live in the world of Codie Sanchez, Iman Gadzhi, Dan Martell, and Alex Hormozi, and you can turn a raw idea into a YouTube script people can’t stop watching, this is your seat at the table.

And did you see it said “Full Time”?

I know everyone in this space wants to be a contractor juggling five clients. That’s fine, but it’s not this role. Great work for one brand comes from living inside that brand, not renting yourself out to it. We’re not looking for a contractor or an employee. We’re looking for a teammate who wants to build something big with great people and puts their full creative energy here.

Who You Are

  • You’ve written long-form YouTube scripts for a channel with real reach, and you can show scripts that held attention.
  • You can look at a video and explain why it worked or why it flopped, moment by moment. Retention is a craft you can diagnose, not a mystery you hope for.
  • You think in packaging first. Before you write a line, you already have the idea, the title, and the thumbnail concept.
  • You nail the first 30 seconds. You know the hook is the whole game, and you bring a range of them, not one.
  • You show up with a slate, not a blank page, and a backlog of ideas that never runs dry.
  • Bonus: you’ve written in finance, macro, investing, or a comparable education space, and you can hold a creator’s voice like it’s your own.

What You Will Do

  • Source and pipeline video ideas continuously, and bring Mark a slate to choose from, never a blank page.
  • Own packaging first: the title and thumbnail concept before the script gets written.
  • Turn each idea into a ready-to-shoot script with hook, structure, story, and payoff, in Mark’s voice and POV.
  • Nail the first 30 seconds so the video earns the watch before anything else.
  • Build in the CTA and lead-magnet moment where marketing wants it, so content drives leads without breaking the story.
  • Study where viewers drop off and fix the pattern in the next script. Test new formats on a rhythm instead of repeating what already works.
  • Keep a script ahead so production never waits, with a clean handoff to the In-Studio Filmer/Editor.
  • Feed winning hooks and angles into the copywriter’s swipe bank, so content and acquisition cross-pollinate.
