Director of Operations

Remote (US)Start ASAPContract-to-Hire, Full-Time

You’ve run operations before, but never with the authority to match the responsibility. You want to actually run the thing. Install the operating system. Hold the team to it. Make real calls without asking permission for each one.

This is that seat. You’re the integrator to a founder who’s ready to get out of the day-to-day, and you get the decision rights to make it stick. Not a glorified project manager chasing tasks. You own the cadence, the scorecard, and the team. The standard is simple: things stop falling to the founder because you caught them first.

Does this sound like you? Then keep reading.

The business has grown faster than the systems behind it. Decisions pile up, handoffs slip, and too much waits on a single desk. I need someone to own the operating system so the team runs on cadence and stops waiting for permission to move.

If you live in the world of Codie Sanchez, Iman Gadzhi, Dan Martell, and Alex Hormozi, and you can turn a founder-dependent business into one that runs on its own, this is your seat at the table.

And did you see it said “Full Time”?

I know everyone in this space wants to be a contractor juggling five clients. That’s fine, but it’s not this role. Great work for one brand comes from living inside that brand, not renting yourself out to it. We’re not looking for a contractor or an employee. We’re looking for a teammate who wants to build something big with great people and puts their full creative energy here.

Who You Are

  • You’ve been the integrator or head of ops for a founder-led business. You installed the cadence, the scorecard, and the accountability, and it stuck.
  • You can point to a founder you took out of the day-to-day. You know what you systemized and what stopped hitting their desk.
  • You run a team to standards. You hold department heads to their numbers without being the bad guy about it.
  • You’ve done it at a $1M to $10M business with contractors and department heads.
  • You make decisions. You don’t need a playbook handed to you, and you don’t escalate what you can resolve yourself.
  • Bonus: you’ve operated inside a creator, info, or education company and know how those businesses actually run.

What You Will Do

  • Own the operating cadence: weekly leadership call, scorecard review, decision log, and recurring 1:1s.
  • Keep the scorecard as the single source of truth, with named owners updating it weekly without being chased.
  • Be the first stop for operational issues. Intercept and resolve anything that doesn’t need Mark, and own the fix and the doc update, not just the patch.
  • Audit the full tech stack in your first 30 days: every tool, its cost, purpose, and use.
  • Run seat assessments of the department heads inside 60 days, with written fit recommendations.
  • Own the funnel tracker end to end: lead, call booked, showed, closed, retained or refunded, with a named owner per stage.
  • Manage contractor invoice approvals, keep spend vs. budget visible, and feed the operational cost view to the CFO.
  • Recommend an EOR provider and own the contractor-to-W2 conversions in the right order.
  • Bring Mark problems with a proposed solution attached, never just the problem.
